Aggrieved customers of Gold Coast Fund Management are set to converge in Accra today, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to press the government to expedite the payment of their outstanding locked-up funds.
The customers will gather at the forecourt of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at Osu between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., according to a statement issued by the group’s leadership.
At 11:00 a.m., participants will be transported by buses to the Jubilee House, where they intend to present a petition to President John Dramani Mahama.
The organisers clarified that participants will not walk from Osu to Jubilee House, as buses have been arranged to convey them directly to the seat of government.
The leadership has urged all affected customers to participate in the exercise, stressing the importance of unity and a peaceful approach in their continued quest to recover their funds.
“This is a critical moment for us to demonstrate that, after years of waiting, we remain united in our demand for justice,” the group said.
The organisers have also invited customers affected by the collapse of other financial institutions to join the gathering.
They argued that the financial sector crisis left thousands of families struggling and that a united front could help renew attention to the plight of victims whose funds are yet to be fully paid.
The group is also calling on media organisations, journalists, civil society organisations, religious bodies, traditional leaders and the general public to support its demand for swift action to settle the outstanding claims.
Convener of the Aggrieved Customers of Gold Coast Fund Management, Charles Nyame, assured the authorities that the exercise would be conducted peacefully and in an orderly and disciplined manner.
The group says Tuesday’s action is intended to intensify pressure on the government to resolve the matter after years of waiting.
