Information reaching Adomonline.com is that Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mrs Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has been appointed as the acting Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.

Her appointment was announced in a Police Wireless Message cited by your authoritative news website.

“You are to act as DiGenPol/CID with immediate effect…regards,” the wireless message signed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu read.

This website can confirm that her name started circulating in police circles as the one to replace Bright Oduro who was asked to proceed on leave this weekend.

Rumours had been ripe among the hierarchy of the security service that ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah who was the Second in Command would take over the position.

She was recently associated with a scandal involving A-Plus and the two deputy Chiefs-of-Staff Samuel Abu Jinapor and Francis Asenso-Boakye.
