The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Dr Kingsley Agyemang, on Monday joined former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, at the one-week observation of Maxwell Kofi Anti, a personal assistant to the Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah.
The ceremony, held in Akyem Oda, brought together party members, family, friends and sympathisers who gathered to pay their respects and support the bereaved family.
Dr Bawumia and Dr Agyemang extended their condolences to the family of the late aide, offering prayers for strength and comfort during the period of mourning.
After the observance, the delegation proceeded to Akyem Wenkyi to commiserate with a former Eastern Regional Chairman of the NPP and former Akwatia MP following the passing of his wife.
The party leaders offered words of comfort and solidarity, assuring the grieving families of the NPP’s support in their moment of loss.
Reflecting on the day’s engagements, Dr Agyemang said the visits underscored the importance of standing with party members in times of grief and difficulty.

“It is indeed a moment of mixed feelings. May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace,” he remarked.
The visits highlighted the bonds of unity and support within the NPP as senior party figures rallied around members facing bereavement, with prayers offered for the peaceful repose of the departed and strength for the families left behind.
