For the Shatta Movement family, the love for their king goes beyond the beats, the concerts and the chants of SM4Lyf.
The fans believe being part of the Shatta Movement comes with a responsibility to give back to society and make a difference in the lives of others.
In view of this, members of the Ablekuma Shatta Movement have shown another side of fandom by extending their support to education with a donation of 1,000 exercise books to pupils of the Abavana Cluster of Schools.
They went classroom by classroom distributing the branded books under the supervision of teachers.
The first page of the book is imprinted with 10 academic motivational quotes from Shatta Wale himself.
This cause aligns with Shatta’s vision of empowering young people and creating opportunities for the next generation.
The donation, they explained, is part of efforts to encourage learning and ease some of the challenges faced by pupils who need basic educational materials.
“Let’s unite to support the education of every child. Together, we can write a better future,” the group said.
The Ablekuma Shatta Movement believes the impact of an artiste should not end when the music stops playing, but should be seen in the positive change created in communities.
