Duraplast Ltd. has announced plans to resume operations on Monday, October 5, following a fire outbreak at one of its sites at Avenor Kofikrom on October 1.
In a public announcement, the company acknowledged the support of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), the Mayor of Accra, the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Armed Forces, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Ghana Water and other responding agencies.
The company also thanked its neighbours and members of the surrounding community for their swift response and solidarity during the incident.
Duraplast further expressed appreciation to its customers, business partners and other stakeholders for their concern, patience and continued support, assuring them that it would keep them informed of developments.
Despite the disruption caused by the fire, management says the company remains determined to rebuild and emerge stronger.
“From the ashes, the rubble, and the dust, we will rise again, stronger, better, bigger, and more determined than ever,” the statement said.
The company added that the incident would not define its future, emphasising its commitment to rebuilding and renewing its operations.
