Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren has named his squad for Ghana’s second-round African qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies midfielder Rabiatu Maltiti and Police Ladies’ Margaret Agyapomaa have received their first senior call-ups for the two-legged tie against Mauritius.

The pair were part of the Black Princesses setup and have been promoted to the senior team as Ghana begin their campaign to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

Former Black Maidens captain Mukarama Abdulai has also returned to the squad after a lengthy spell out with injury.

Abdulai, who has previously represented the Black Queens, is back in contention for the crucial Olympic qualifiers.

Ghana received a bye in the first round and were drawn against the winner of the tie between Mauritius and Djibouti.

Mauritius progressed to the second round after overcoming Djibouti to set up a meeting with Ghana.

The first leg will be played away in Mauritius on Thursday, 8 October, with the return fixture scheduled for Tuesday, 13 October, in Ghana.

The Black Queens are aiming to progress to the next stage of the African qualifying competition as they pursue a place at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
