The Headmaster of Ahafoman Senior High Technical School at Goaso in the Ahafo Region, Derrick Adu Gyamfi, has expressed satisfaction with the number of first-year students who have reported to the school as the 2026/27 academic year begins.
According to him, the early turnout of freshers is encouraging and represents a significant improvement compared with the opening of the previous academic year.
Mr Adu Gyamfi told Adom News that a considerable number of students admitted to the school had reported on the first day of reopening, giving the school administration confidence that the remaining students will also arrive within the stipulated reporting period.
He said the development was particularly encouraging because timely reporting allows the school to properly settle students and put the necessary arrangements in place before teaching and learning fully get underway.
The Headmaster expressed the hope that all admitted first-year students would report on schedule to enable the school to begin academic activities without delays.
Some parents who spoke to Adom News also commended the school for measures put in place to make the admission and reporting process smooth for students and their families.
They said the arrangements at the school had helped reduce difficulties associated with the admission process and urged other parents to ensure their wards report within the timeline given by the school.
The parents noted that with teachers ready to commence academic work, students also need to report promptly to avoid missing valuable teaching and learning time.
The school administration is therefore urging parents and guardians whose wards have been admitted but are yet to report to make the necessary arrangements to ensure they arrive within the stipulated period
