Two young men have survived a near-fatal road accident at Bonakye in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.
The incident occurred along the Eastern Corridor, where the two motorbike riders reportedly became trapped underneath a long truck loaded with cement.
The motorbike lost balance, causing the rider and his pillion to fall under the truck with registration number GN 5404-26, that was moving in opposite direction.
The crash left the two victims with serious head and body injuries.
Eyewitnesses and residents helped in the rescue of the victims, who were subsequently taken to the Bonakye CHPS Compound for urgent medical attention.
The authorities have visited the scene to ensure free flow of traffic as investigations commence.
