Tim Africa Aid Ghana (TAAG) has organised a business management training programme for 20 persons living with Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in the Asunafo North Municipality of the Ahafo Region.
The training, held in Goaso, was aimed at equipping the beneficiaries with the knowledge and skills needed to manage their businesses effectively and improve their livelihoods.
Speaking to Adom News, the Executive Director of TAAG, Isaac Kwabena Kakpeibe, said the organisation would soon provide the beneficiaries with micro-grants to support their businesses.
He explained that the training was therefore necessary to ensure that the beneficiaries were adequately prepared to manage the funds and avoid misusing them.
Mr Kakpeibe said the programme focused largely on financial management, helping participants understand how to properly manage business finances, keep records and make sound financial decisions.
He expressed the hope that the knowledge acquired would enable the beneficiaries to sustain their businesses and improve their living conditions.
Meanwhile, the Planning Officer of the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly, Shakron Lamini, commended TAAG for its continued support for the Assembly, particularly in improving the welfare of persons living with NTDs.
He described the training as a positive intervention that would help beneficiaries strengthen their businesses and become more financially independent.
Mr Lamini said the initiative would contribute to reducing the dependence of persons living with NTDs on others for their basic needs.
