The Public Relations Department of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Northern Regional Command, has toured newly established media stations in the region as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with the media.

The visit was aimed at familiarising the Service with the stations and building stronger working relationships to support public education on fire safety and emergency preparedness.

The team, led by the Northern Regional Public Relations Officer, ADOI Hudu Baba, held discussions with management of the various stations during the tour.

Management of the stations expressed their willingness to support the GNFS in promoting fire safety awareness and other initiatives aimed at creating safer communities across the region.

The stations visited included Tolon Radio and Tolon TV, Zosimli Radio, North Citi Radio, Nsaha (My Time) Radio and Radio Tamale.

Radio Tamale, although an existing station, was included in the tour following its recent relocation to a new facility.

The GNFS said the engagement forms part of its efforts to deepen cooperation with media organisations, recognising their role in reaching the public with timely information on fire prevention, safety measures and emergency response.
