The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) says it is working to resolve intermittent technical difficulties affecting the payment of taxes through the Ghana.gov payment platform.
According to the Authority, the challenges, which started on Friday, August 14, 2026, have affected payments initiated through the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) and Ghana Integrated Tax Management and Information System (GITMIS).
In a statement issued on Thursday, August 20, the GRA clarified that the problem affects only the processing of payments and does not affect the filing of tax returns.
It said the payment platform remains operational, although some taxpayers may experience delays in processing transactions or seeing payments reflected on their respective portals.
The Authority said it is collaborating with its technical partners to resolve the problem, with interventions already underway to restore normal payment processing.
The GRA assured taxpayers that outstanding transactions would be processed and reflected on their portals once the system is fully normalised.
It further said measures were being implemented to minimise further disruptions and address all affected transactions.
The Authority apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked taxpayers and other stakeholders for their patience and understanding.
