The campaign team of former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, who were travelling to the five northern regions to continue campaigning ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Executive elections has been involved in a road accident in the Oti Region.
The campaign’s Spokesperson and Communications Director, Ellen Ama Daaku, said in a statement that the accident happened a few minutes from Dambai on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, between noon and 1pm.
Members of the security, operations, and communications teams were among those travelling with the campaign convoy at the time.
According to the statement, one of the campaign’s operations pick-up vehicles, driven by the Campaign Manager, crashed into the rear of a Toyota Tundra being used by Titus-Glover during the campaign tour.
The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles, and the occupants were rushed to the Dambai Government Hospital for treatment.
Ms Daaku said everyone involved in the accident had been treated and discharged, and were all doing well.
She added that the incident had not dampened the campaign’s spirit, saying morale within the team remained high and that they were still poised for victory in the NPP National Executive elections, scheduled for October 3, 2026.
