Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has urged delegates and aspirants participating in the NPP Central Regional Executive elections to respect one another and uphold the unity of the party.
Speaking to Adom News during the elections, Mr Afenyo-Markin expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise, describing the process as peaceful and orderly.
He said the outcome should favour candidates who had worked hardest to earn the confidence of delegates.
According to him, the elections should not create divisions within the party, stressing the need for tolerance and mutual respect among members.
Mr Afenyo-Markin said the NPP must remain united as it works to strengthen its structures and prepare for the 2028 general elections.
He therefore urged all aspirants, delegates and supporters to accept the outcome of the elections and continue to work together in the interest of the party.
