Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido’s UK concert almost came to an abrupt end after a fan allegedly disrespected one of his staff members.
The singer paused the performance and addressed the situation directly from the stage, warning against repeated unruly behaviour.
This was after his crew attempted to block fans from accessing the perimeter of the stage which is out of bounds.
Davido reminded the audience that members of his crew had been working throughout the day to put the concert together and said he would not allow anyone to mistreat them.
“Don’t disrespect my staff. If you do that again, I will walk off this stage,” he charged.
The brief interruption did not appear to derail the concert, as Davido returned his attention to the performance after addressing the incident.
The moment has since attracted attention online, with fans applauding the singer’s decision to pause the show and publicly stand up for a member of his team.
