The simmering feud between Oseikrom Sikanii and Beeztrap KOTM has taken another dramatic turn, as Oseikrom fires back after a diss track aimed squarely at him.
In a strongly-worded response, Oseikrom Sikanii insisted that he played a significant role in Beeztrap’s rise to prominence, and urged him to remain humble as he enjoys his new found fame.
“Never bite the hand that feeds you,” Oseikrom said, claiming he was among the first artistes to believe in Beeztrap’s talent.
He claimed he didn’t just collaborate with Beeztrap musically but also invested in his career behind the scenes, including paying for apartments to facilitate his video shoots and giving him opportunities at a time when few people knew his name.
According to Oseikrom, their collaboration ‘Fly Girl’ became a major breakthrough for Beeztrap. However, he alleged that after the song gained traction, the credits were quietly altered from “Oseikrom Sikanii ft. Beeztrap” to “Beeztrap ft. Oseikrom Sikanii.”
For Oseikrom, that marked the beginning of what he sees as a lack of appreciation.
He also cautioned Beeztrap against allowing his recent success to get to his head.
“Calm down. You’re still climbing the ladder of success. Pay homage to those above you and those showing you the way into the mainstream industry,” he said.
The latest exchange stems from comments Oseikrom made during a recent interview, where he confidently proclaimed himself a certified hitmaker.
He claimed any artiste looking for a hit record only needed to work with him before citing Beeztrap as his biggest example.
Oseikrom went as far as claiming he was the “gate opener” for Beeztrap, insisting the rapper’s career took off after ‘Fly Girl’ and even suggesting his contribution laid the foundation for Beeztrap’s eventual TGMA New Artiste of the Year triumph.
Shortly after the interview went viral, Beeztrap responded, not with another interview, but with a diss record that fans quickly linked to Oseikrom.
The back-and-forth has since ignited conversations among music fans on social media, with many debating who deserves credit for Beeztrap’s rise and whether the disagreement could escalate into one of Ghana’s biggest rap feuds this year.
