The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced Friday, August 14, 2026, as the deadline for defaulters and private candidates to apply for PIN codes for the 2026/2027 national service year.
The Authority said the exercise is intended for Ghanaian graduates who completed tertiary education but were unable to enrol in the National Service Programme in previous years.
In a statement, the NSA explained that eligible applicants include private candidates whose academic qualifications have been authenticated by accredited tertiary institutions, as well as Ghanaian citizens who obtained their tertiary education abroad.
The Authority urged all eligible applicants to complete the online registration process and submit the required supporting documents to any NSA office before the deadline.
“Applicants are therefore strongly encouraged to complete their online registration and submit all required documents at the NSA office on or before the deadline,” the statement said.
According to the NSA, the exercise provides another opportunity for eligible graduates who missed previous enrolment periods to regularise their participation in the mandatory national service programme.
The Authority also reminded the public that the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), makes it mandatory for every Ghanaian graduate from an accredited tertiary institution to undertake national service.
It, therefore, encouraged all eligible applicants to take advantage of what it described as the final opportunity and ensure they submit all required documents before the August 14 deadline.
