Nero Beverages, producers of the Nero’s Prime beverage brand, has organised a special cheque donation and Mother’s Day celebration event in Accra to support breast cancer awareness and women’s health advocacy.

Held at the Nagrat Lyceum in Adabraka, the event saw the company make a financial donation to the Breast Cancer Society of Ghana as part of efforts to support breast cancer education, awareness and community outreach initiatives.

The programme, which formed part of Nero’s Prime Corporate Social Responsibility activities, focused on promoting early detection, prevention and open conversations around women’s health.

Beyond the cheque presentation, the event created an atmosphere of reflection and appreciation as mothers were celebrated for their sacrifices and contributions to society.

Several dignitaries and public personalities graced the occasion, including Abla Dzifa Gomashie, CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, Mary Awusi, and Deputy Minister for Housing, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui.

Media personality and Nero’s Prime brand ambassador AJ Poundz also joined the campaign, alongside influencers, healthcare advocates and invited guests.

One of the emotional highlights of the event was the sharing of survivor stories and awareness messages aimed at encouraging women to prioritise regular health screenings and early medical attention.

Organisers described the initiative as the beginning of a broader long-term social impact campaign that will continue to champion women’s health, community support and public awareness across the country.
