Residents and businesses in parts of the Western Region are expected to experience a temporary power outage on Friday, May 15, 2026, as the Electricity Company of Ghana (Electricity Company of Ghana) undertakes emergency maintenance works to improve service delivery.
According to ECG, the scheduled maintenance exercise will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Areas expected to be affected include Aboso township, Damang, Fante Mines, Bogoso Junction, New Site, Budo City and surrounding communities.
ECG explained that the temporary interruption in power supply forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance the reliability and efficiency of electricity service in the affected areas.
The company has apologised to customers for the inconvenience the exercise may cause.
