Caleb Yirenkyi has been named Player of the Season at FC Nordsjælland following an outstanding 2025/26 campaign in which he established himself as one of the club’s most influential players.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season marked by consistency, versatility and growing maturity, featuring in multiple positions including right-back, central midfield and centre-back. His adaptability proved crucial for the Danish side throughout the campaign.

Yirenkyi recorded two goals and six assists in 29 league appearances, highlighting his impact at both ends of the pitch.

He rounded off the season with another impressive performance in FC Nordsjælland’s 2-1 victory over Viborg FF in their latest fixture.

His latest achievement continues the growing influence of Ghanaian players at the club, following Ernest Nuamah, who won the same award before securing a move to Olympique Lyonnais in 2023.

Since breaking into the Ghana national football team setup, Yirenkyi has become an important figure for the Black Stars and is widely expected to be included in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
