The Ghana Highways Authority has successfully repaired the damaged footbridge at Dzorwulu, following reports by Adom TV highlighting its deteriorating condition.

In a press statement, the Authority indicated that repair works were scheduled between April 18 and April 24. As of April 22, the footbridge has been fully restored and reopened for safe pedestrian use.

Residents and commuters who depend on the footbridge have expressed appreciation to the government and the Ghana Highways Authority for the swift intervention.

Many described the response as commendable, noting that it reflects a strong commitment to public safety.

However, some pedestrians have called on authorities to enforce regulations on the overloading of heavy-duty vehicles, which they believe contributed to the damage.

They stressed the need for stricter monitoring to prevent similar incidents in the future and to protect public infrastructure.
