The Ghana Scholarships Authority has announced the release of first-quarter government allocations to help settle outstanding scholarship arrears owed to Ghanaian students abroad.

The Authority said the funds are intended to address delays in the payment of tuition fees and stipends for beneficiaries studying in the United Kingdom and other countries.

It explained that the government remains committed to progressively clearing outstanding obligations and stabilising scholarship payments.

The Authority acknowledged the concerns of affected students and expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the delays.

It assured beneficiaries that it is working with relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt processing of payments and to minimise future disruptions.

Students have been urged to remain calm and continue their academic activities as efforts continue to resolve all outstanding arrears.

The Authority concluded that the government is duly committed to the welfare of Ghanaian students abroad and its determination to fully settle all obligations.
