66 Artillery Regiment unveils line-up for 60th anniversary celebrations in Ho

The 66 Artillery Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces, based at the Volta Barracks in Ho, has unveiled an exciting line-up of activities to mark its 60th anniversary celebration under the theme “Six Decades of Dedicated Service.”

The commemorative events, expected to bring together military personnel, families, and members of the public, will begin on Friday, March 27, 2026, with a routine march and the official launch of the anniversary.

As part of efforts to support healthcare delivery, the Regiment will organise a blood donation exercise on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Trafalgar Hospital.

The celebration will continue on Friday, April 10, 2026, with a clean-up exercise at the Ho Central Market, demonstrating the Regiment’s commitment to community service and environmental sanitation.

Personnel of the Regiment will also engage in fun games on Monday, April 13, 2026, to promote unity, fitness, and camaraderie among ranks.

A major highlight of the anniversary will be the grand durbar and all-ranks dance scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2026, expected to attract high-ranking military officials, traditional authorities, and invited guests.

The week-long celebration will climax with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, April 19, 2026, to express gratitude for six decades of dedicated service to the nation.

Over the years, the 66 Artillery Regiment has played a key role in safeguarding Ghana’s territorial integrity and contributing to peacekeeping operations, making its 60th anniversary a significant milestone.
