Parents in Egyaa, Central Region, are demanding justice following allegations that a teacher at Trinity Methodist Preparatory School flogged two pupils, leaving them with visible bruises.

The incident reportedly involved siblings aged 10 and 8, who are in Class 6 and Class 4 respectively.

According to reports, the pupils sat on plastic chairs arranged for guests ahead of the school’s speech and prize-giving day programme. The teacher, popularly known as Sir Emma, allegedly punished the children by lashing them severely.

After receiving an unsatisfactory response from the school authorities, the parents reported the matter to the Ghana Police Service at the Saltpond Police Station. The children were taken to a hospital for treatment, and a police medical report was subsequently obtained.

The case is currently under investigation by the Saltpond police.
