IET-GH inaugurates Cape Coast Technical University Chapter

The Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana officially inaugurated the Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) Chapter on Friday, 6th March 2026, under the leadership of its President, Engr. Wonder Davor.

The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the School of Engineering, Ing. Prof. Eric Awere, Senior Lecturer Engr. Dr. Oteng Peprah, Engr. Oppon, and other senior faculty members of CCTU.

Engr. Davor was accompanied by Engr. John Bentoom, Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Division of IET-GH; Engr. David Brown, Senior Engineer from the Civil Engineering Division; and Engr. Prof. Mike Agbesi Acheampong, Chairman of the Chemical, Environmental and Petroleum Engineering Division.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Dean of the School of Engineering expressed gratitude to IET-GH for its continued support over the years. He highlighted the Institution’s assistance in organizing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes and reviewing engineering curricula prior to submission to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission for accreditation. He encouraged IET-GH to maintain its strong collaboration with the University.

In his address, Engr. Davor assured the University of IET-GH’s ongoing support in recognizing outstanding engineering students and implementing professional development initiatives. He officially inaugurated the CCTU Chapter and encouraged students to actively engage in the Institution’s CPD programmes and professional activities.
