The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has ordered an investigation into allegations of an unauthorised withdrawal of GH₵400,000 from a mobile money agent’s account in Kibi.
The directive tasks the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) with probing claims circulating in a viral video that suggest some police personnel may have been involved in the incident.
According to the Ghana Police Service, the victim has been contacted and is currently assisting with the investigations.
Police have assured the public that the outcome of the probe will be communicated once the investigation is concluded.
