Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have arrived in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the 2025 Pink Ladies Cup.

The squad touched down early Wednesday as they enter a crucial phase of preparations ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco next month.

The four-nation tournament will help head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren fine-tune tactics and assess players ahead of the continental championship.

Ghana will open their campaign against Hong Kong on February 28, face Russia on March 3, and conclude the tournament against Tanzania on March 6.

Bjorkegren recently announced his squad, introducing six new players as he continues to evaluate options ahead of WAFCON. Training sessions are set to begin immediately to ensure the team reaches peak match fitness.

After their UAE assignment, the Black Queens are scheduled to play Ivory Coast in a final friendly before heading to Morocco for the tournament.
