The Kennedy Agyapong Campaign 2026 has expressed strong confidence of victory in several key regions ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s upcoming presidential primary.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Joojo Rocky Obeng, Director of Elections for the campaign, said Kennedy Agyapong is poised to win in the Greater Accra, Central, Western, and Western North regions, adding that the Volta Region has become a “no-go area” for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Obeng, internal dynamics on the ground do not always align with opinion polls, noting that many delegates feel disconnected from polling outcomes. He argued that Kennedy Agyapong’s appeal extends beyond the January 31 flagbearer race, with plans he believes will reinvigorate the party.

Obeng explained that regions such as Volta, Greater Accra, Central, Western, Eastern, and Ashanti together account for about 70 percent of total NPP delegates, making them decisive in the contest. He added that Kennedy Agyapong won two of these regions during the 2023 race and is now better positioned to secure a broader victory.

“Kennedy will clearly win in Greater Accra, and Volta will vote massively for him. He will also win in the Central Region,” Obeng said.
