Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, Member of Parliament for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, has organized a free health screening exercise targeting widows and the elderly in Kenyasi.
The initiative, which focused on blood pressure, diabetes, and eye health, benefited 124 residents. Speaking to Adom News, Dr. Addo explained that as the community prepares to enter 2026, it is important for vulnerable groups to know their health status and receive proper guidance from medical professionals.
“These screenings target the most common health challenges among the aged and widows in our constituency,” he said.
Beneficiaries, including Pokuaa Gladys and Akosua Serwaa, expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that it was the first time a local MP had organized such an event.
Free lens spectacles were also provided to support residents with vision problems.
