More than a thousand children in the Teshie District of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s Ga Presbytery were treated to food, drinks, and educational materials during the church’s 2025 Jesus Christmas Street Party.
The outreach, held at Landing Beach Preaching Point, Sangonaa; Bethany Park near Teshie First Junction, and Grace Congregation, Sutsurunor, was led by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, and supported by other senior ministers of the church.
The children received stationery including books, pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, and sharpeners, alongside packed meals and drinks.
The church leaders explained that the gesture was aimed at supporting education while also meeting immediate needs.
Beyond the meals and stationery, the children were reminded of the true meaning of Christmas.

Messages centered on Christ’s birth and His love for children, ensuring that the celebration was both festive and spiritually uplifting.
“Christmas is not merely about gifts and food. It is about God’s love revealed in the birth of Christ, and we want our children to know that they are loved and valued,” the Moderator said.
The event also featured singing and storytelling, creating a lively atmosphere. Parents and guardians expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that it brought joy and relief to families during the festive season.

The Jesus Christmas Street Party reflects the PCG’s mission to combine evangelism with social support, ensuring that vulnerable children are not left out during Christmas, said the Clerk of the General Assembly of the church, Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah.
