Too early to talk about 2025/26 GHPL title – Hearts’ Enoch Asubonteng

Hearts of Oak midfielder Enoch Asubonteng says it is too early to discuss the club’s chances of winning the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League, despite their promising start to the campaign.

The Phobians bounced back from a frustrating goalless draw with Hohoe United to secure back-to-back victories over Dreams FC and Eleven Wonders.

Asubonteng was decisive in the latter, scoring the only goal in their narrow win against Eleven Wonders during Matchday 3 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite the improved performances, the midfielder insists the team must remain grounded.

“It’s too early to talk about the title,” he said.
“There are so many games left, and other clubs have also shown they will be very competitive this season. We are determined to fight and make our fans proud, but right now our focus is only on taking it game by game,” he added.

Hearts of Oak currently sit third on the league table with seven points from three matches.

The Accra giants will aim to extend their good run when they travel to Bechem to face Bechem United in their Matchday 4 clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park this weekend.
