Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has praised his players’ effort and commitment despite being held to a frustrating goalless draw by Ghana Premier League newcomers Hohoe United in their 2025/26 season opener on Friday night.

Backed by their home supporters at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Phobians dominated much of the game but failed to make their chances count, even after Hohoe United were reduced to ten men in the second half following Solomon Amoako’s red card.

Despite the missed opportunities, Dramani chose to highlight the positives, commending his side’s intensity and tactical discipline.

“I think they gave everything needed in football. The energy, the effort, and the performance were absolutely good,” he said after the match.

“We found the right spaces, we did the right things,” he added.

Hearts of Oak will now shift focus to Matchday Two, where they face Dreams FC away as they seek their first win of the campaign.
