Deputy Information Minister, Pious Hadzide has urged the Office of the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu to focus on the work that he has been mandated to do and reduce the talk.

The comment of the Deputy Minister follows an epistle written by the Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu which lamented the interference of heads of state institutions in executing his mandate.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam show, Hon Hadzide urged Mr Amidu to follow due processes to ensure the heads of state institutions comply with the laws in fighting corruption.

“The Akufo-Addo-led government appointed Martin Amidu because we knew he was up to the task in the fight against corruption. We are doing our best to resource the office to work effectively so he must focus on the work and reduce the talk,” he said.
