Shatta Wale

Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah says though Ghanaians show him love, some industry players wish he steps out of the music industry.

According to him, some faceless people hate him to the extent that, they wish he never plays a hit song again.

Shatta Wale as he is affectionately called made this statement after the recent 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards fracas with fellow dancehall colleague Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale’s decision to mount the stage when Stonebwoy was in the process of receiving an award caused a scuffle between the two acts with Stonebwoy pulling a gun amidst the fight.

The two were detained but were released yesterday after being granted bail.
