The defeat of National Youth Organizer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Brogya Genfi did not come to many, especially members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as a surprise.
The National Youth Organiser of the ruling party, Nana Boakye said his defeat was ordained by his bad campaign strategy before the elections.

Brogya Genfi who was tipped by many for a landslide victory lost to former Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapem North, George Opare Addo.
The NDC firebrand who vowed to meet the NPP’s vigilante group boot-for-boot for launching an anti-terrorism group, The Hawks, garnered only 396 of the total votes cast.

The performance by Brogya Genfi, Nana Boakye stated on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Monday, is not befitting of a former Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer.
He wondered whether Brogya’s vigilante group, the Hawks left him in the cold to face the humiliation alone.

Nana Boakye congratulated Opare Addo but urged him to tighten his belt for a stiff competition in election 2020.
