Legendary Hip-Life musician, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, known in showbiz circles as Obrafour said he is not afraid of death.

Earlier last year, reports circulated that the ‘Heavy’ hit song maker was admitted at the hospital in a ‘bad condition’.

BET award winner, Sarkodie ‘Obidi’ in a Facebook post confirmed he has been mute over the rapper’s sickness for long, as such, his current state wasn’t better, the reason he needed to let the world know what was happening to Obrafour, his Godfather.

Through his Facebook page, he said:

“Was keeping this on the low but now it’s getting serious and will need us all to pray for my godfather @iamobrafour @iamobrafour been admitted almost a month now. And his current state ain’t dat gud but he will be fine. Just want us to remember him in prayers. Thank you…” he stated.

But Obrafour speaking with host KMJ on Hitz FM’s Morning Show Friday said he has been in the intensive care for months and visitors were hardly allowed even though some celebrities in the industry made it a point to come see him.

He added that, he is in a close to perfect condition now and as a solid Christian he doesn’t fear death because he is a student of the Holy Bible.

According to him, his family will be the only reason he would seek longer life from God since he would want to put them in a better position before he departs away from this earth.

“As a Christian, I don’t fear death If you are a student of the Bible. Death is perfect. No I don’t fear death. For now, my life as it is now, the reason I asked God to give me more life, is for my Children. I want to put them in a position that they can take care of themselves. They are the reason I wake up early in the morning…”

“I was at the intensive care for weeks or months. It was difficult for visits. A few people were there, like Hammer, Manifest, My manager. But does it really matter? Obuor came when I had been discharged to my ward. Nero X, Okyeame Kwame among others. What matters most is that I am well and here…” he said.

When asked by the host on how he would want to be remembered as a legend if he should pass on, he said he wants to be remembered as the most honest but decent lyricists ever to live on this earth.

“I have lived for one thing – honesty. And it is not mine; it doesn’t lie with me to tell where I would be after here. It’s in the hands of God. This is the reason why I am in music. I want to be remembered as the most decent lyricist ever to appear on this side of the world and I want to live by my word…” he noted.
