Ghana’s Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Attah, has stated that a 5,000-seater ultramodern film theatre will be constructed to attract international films.

Delivering his 2019 budget to parliament Thursday, the minister spoke about government’s intention to develop the creative arts industry.

Mr Ofori Atta also added that the Creative Arts Bill and Fund have been presented to parliament for consideration and passage.

He said the move was to ensure economic viability in the industry.

According to him, the Creative Arts Bill will pave way for the formation of the Creative Arts Fund.

The creation of the fund, according to him, will enable the Council and the government to do more projects to aid the growth of the industry.
