The Director of Elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, has described as ‘pure comedy’ the new slogan adopted by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2020 elections.
Supporters of the NPP, who gathered at the party’s Delegates’ Conference at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra, chanted in unison that President Nana Akufo-Addo has done more in his first term and deserves another term.
The President agreed to this chant and urged Ghanaians to keep in mind his achievements when they go to the polls on December 7, 2019.
Commenting on this on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Mr Afriyie-Ankrah insisted the NPP had performed abysmally and deserves no further term.
To him, the slogan is pure comedy insisting that the NPP has nothing to offer Ghanaians.
