About 450 media houses have applied to provide coverage for the 2019 National Delegates Conference of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
National Organiser of the party, Sammy Awuku, revealed this on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Thursday.

The event to be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 is on the theme: We have performed better, 4 more to do more.
Being the ruling party, President Nana Akufo-Addo will be given the opportunity to address pressing national issues and all media houses across the country would want to carry it live.

But, due to resources constraint, Mr Awuku said the party has been forced to reduce the number to 250 media houses.
“We would have loved to give accreditation to all the 450 media houses but that is impossible,” he added.

Rather, the NPP National Organiser said its Director of Communications, Yaw Boaben Asamoa, has been asked to prune the number down to 250.
The Annual Delegates Conference will take place at the Fantasy Dome of the Trade Fair in La, Accra.
