The Assin Fosu District Police, on Monday dawn, conducted a swoop which has led to the arrest of 12 persons suspected to be peddling and using substances believed to be Indian hemp.
According to the Assin Fosu District Police Commander, ASP Magnus Rendorf, the men were smoking the substance when they were apprehended.

According to him, some quantities of the substances were seized in the course of the operation which lasted for about three hours.
He said the divisional command took the step to rid the area of criminal activities when crime began to increase.

The suspects, according to ASP Magnus Sam, will go through screening so that the real culprits can be put before court.
