Aduana Stars football club has denied media reports that its head coach, Yusif Abubakar has been fired.

Accoring to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the club, Evans Oppong, they have not decided the fate of the coach less than eight months after guiding the Dormaa club to their second Ghana Premier League title.

“Management believes that the current woes of the club can not only be attributed to coaching so the coach is at post for the remaining outstanding games of the first round of the league” he told Asempa FM’s Jacob Narbi in an interview.
Evans Oppong also denied reports that management of Aduana Stars  is in talk with former Hearts of Oak coach, Frank nuttal to replace Yusif Abubakar.
“We have not contacted Frank Nuttal to coach Aduana stars” he stressed.

Aduana Stars have been poor in their title defence as they lie 14th with 14 points out of a possible 33 points, having played four games less due to their involvement in CAF Confederation Cup.
