The Minister of Works and Housing, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, has inaugurated the Board of Directors of three critical institutions in the housing sector.
They include the Real Estate Agency Council, the Public Servants’ Housing Loans Scheme Board, and the State Housing Company Limited (SHCL).
The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to address Ghana’s housing deficit and promote affordable housing solutions.
In his address, Mr. Adjei emphasised the importance of these institutions in regulating the real estate sector, providing housing finance to public servants, and delivering quality homes to Ghanaians.
He tasked the boards with driving progress and development in the housing sector by prioritising innovative financing mechanisms, public-private partnerships, and green, climate-resilient housing solutions.
With Ghana’s housing deficit exceeding 1.8 million units, the Minister urged the boards to work towards creating a more sustainable and equitable housing market.
