The Nana Wereko hall of Accra Academy school emerged the 2018 winners of the annual inter-halls competition after striving to leave its fourth position in 2017.
This was after they defeated the reigning champion Peter Ala Adjetey hall and other five halls at the event with 22 points.
Nana Akuoaku sarpong hall took the 2nd place, with Awuletey hall 3rd, the Alema, Ellen, Halm Addo and the Peter Ala Adjetey hall occupying the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th positions respectively.
The competition which covered a 10-kilometere distance was organized by the 1994 year group of the school and attracted 105 contestants with 15 members from each hall.
The competition which is an old tradition was to help students make maximum use of their athletic talents and promote a healthy lifestyle through running.
