Debibi United head coach Isaac Nii Armah has set his sights on an ambitious target of winning the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League title following the club’s promotion to the top flight.

The Bono-based side secured their place in the elite division after a commanding 3-1 victory over Tamale City in the Zone One playoff final of the Access Bank Division One League, played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Speaking after the landmark achievement, Nii Armah expressed strong confidence in his squad’s ability to compete at the highest level, insisting they are ready to challenge for the ultimate prize immediately after promotion.

“We are going to win the Ghana Premier League next season if possible. We want to repeat the history of Aduana FC. We want to become the second team to win the league immediately after our promotion to the Ghana Premier League,” he said.

He further argued that the current squad already possesses top-flight quality, stressing that only minor reinforcements would be needed ahead of their debut Premier League campaign.

“We have more than what it takes to win the GPL. These players are Premier League players and not Division One League players. We just have to add a few additions, and then we are good to go, and that is the assurance for now,” he added.

Debibi United are among three clubs—alongside Port City FC and AshantiGold 04—to have secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the upcoming season.
