Chairman for Parliament’s Education Committee, William Quaitoo, has advised male lecturers in universities to trap and expose female students who try to seduce them for grades.

“Lecturers should also be on guard and watchful, when students try to seduce them, they should trap them and get them into the books,” he said in an interview with Joy News.

He explained that lecturers who get tagged with such claims, have their ‘integrity’ and image tarnished, making it very difficult for them to get jobs elsewhere.

He added that lecturers who were genuinely being seduced by students, particularly female students, should find means of exposing such students so their reputation is not damaged.

“They should find means of trapping such students so that they will rather be kicked out of the university instead of the,” he said.

His comments are in relation to BBC’s ‘Sex for Grades’ expose, which led to the indictment of two senior lecturers of the University of Ghana.
