Godwin Yaw Nsembe, an aspiring Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Nkwanta South in the Oti Region, has appealed to delegates to place their trust in him and vote massively for him in the ongoing constituency elections.

According to him, the party’s current position demands strong, disciplined, and credible leadership at the constituency level.

He argued that an opposition party needs an energetic and well organised force to reconnect with supporters, mobilise effectively, and rebuild structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.

In his view, he stands out among the candidates contesting the chairmanship slot as the most credible choice to lead that task.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, Godwin Nsembe said that if he is given the nod, he will prioritise unity and inclusiveness, bringing every party member on board, regardless of faction or background, to work towards a common goal: securing victory for the NPP in 2028.

He stressed that the party’s success will depend on teamwork, strategic mobilisation, and a leadership style that listens, coordinates, and delivers results on the ground.

He therefore urged delegates to vote for him overwhelmingly, describing the election as a critical step in positioning the constituency for strong performance in the next general elections.

Meanwhile, a total of 34 candidates, including those contesting women’s positions and other executive roles, are seeking election into various constituency positions as the party prepares for the road to 2028.

Over 1,325 delegates are expected to cast their ballots in today’s constituency elections.

Other aspirants who have also been speaking to the media have similarly appealed to delegates for support, noting that the 2028 contest will require experienced leadership and a well-prepared team capable of matching the opposition, “boat for boat,” in organisation, outreach, and campaign strength.
