Some traders at the Agbogbloshie Market have resumed selling foodstuffs despite the recent cleanup activities, insisting that they must continue working to provide for their families.

Speaking to Adom News, the traders said they fully participated in yesterday’s cleanup exercise and believe business activities should now continue as normal.

According to them, staying away from work would only worsen the economic challenges they already face, as many depend on their daily sales to cater for their households.

The traders appealed to authorities and the public to support efforts aimed at keeping the market clean while allowing them to earn a living.

They expressed their commitment to maintaining cleanliness within the market and urged all traders to play their part in ensuring a hygienic trading environment as business resumes.

The development comes as the nationwide clean-up exercise continues, with many traders balancing the need to keep their surroundings clean and the necessity to make a living.
