A conductor, who is yet to be identified, has been confirmed dead with the driver in a critical condition in a cargo truck accident at Aboabo in the Ashanti region.
Information gathered by Joy News suggested the driver of the vehicle had failed break and crashed about three other vehicles while its semi-trailer fell on a corolla vehicle with registration number AS 5530-12 smashing it, with the driver, a health worker narrowly escaping death.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News, residents around the accident scene disclosed many of such accidents have occurred in recent times creating fear and panic in the area.
Checks by Joy News disclosed the portion of the road where the incident happened is under construction but has been abandoned after the contractors did some grading, creating difficult situation for both motorists and passengers.

The body of the conductor has been sent to a nearby mosque to be prepared for burial.
