A man believed to be in his 60s has been beaten to a pulp at his home at Kpong Katamanso in Accra for refusing to allow the traditional authorities there to sprinkle Kpekple in his home.

According to Joseph Bortey Botei, he has for the last two years fought back attempts to include his home in the traditional exercise since his faith does not support it.

“For the past two years I have refused them access to my house to sprinkle the Kpekple because it is against my Christian faith and when they came again on Tuesday I refused,” he said.
