Award-winning Ghanaian playwright, Uncle Ebo Whyte, says he would make marijuana Ghana’s greatest export product if he were the president.

According to him, the marijuana business is so lucrative that it would fetch enormous income for the country.

He made the point in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Thursday.

“My position is that if I become president, one of my initiatives will be to make marijuana our highest export as long as my people are not smoking it. If the developed countries could grow this… if America could cultivate and was cultivating it on a large scale, you think we would be talking about it, [as a banned sunbstance],” he queried.

“The whole of Afram Plains will receive liquidity support to increase their productivity…” he added.

The playwright will be staging his one-man stand-up comedy, “A Crazy Ride” on September 1, 2018, at the national theatre.
