Centre referee Gagba awarded a penalty that handed Asante Kotoko a 1-1 against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

Referee Dally Gagba was at the centre of a controversy when he awarded a penalty against Hearts of Oak at a time Kumasi Asante Kotoko were trailing the Phobian by a goal to nil on Sunday in Kumasi.

Saddick Adams scored from the resultant contentious penalty to save Asante Kotoko blushes, after Kwame Kizito had earlier given Hearts of Oak the lead.
